Camping - Part 2 - Lost Maples

Sunday, November 23, 2014

That Saturday, we headed to Lost Maples to do some hiking.  We had such a great time, and it could not have been more beautiful.  There was so much for the kids to climb on, throw, pick up, and splash in, that they had such a good time.  I would like to come back here every year, if we can manage to do it.  Everyone had such a great time, and it was so nice to escape from the busyness of being at home.

Those brown eyes.... =)

So, we attempted to take a "snow" picture to use on our Christmas card this year.  It was definitely a Pinterest fail! This is potato flakes that she is blowing, and we spent a lot of time trying to get the perfect shot but were never able to. Oh well!

It can't be put into words how beautiful this place was.  It felt like fall in every way that it could have.

 He wanted in. For once.
 New spot, same result.

This was the beginning of the walking stick portion of the trip. From this point on, everyone felt that they needed a walking stick at all times.
 Erin's funny!
 Walking sticks
 And more walking sticks.

 She's so goofy!

I think it looks like he's fishing in this picture.

Tanner was giving this rock sculpture bunny ears. Silly girl!!

The maple leaves were so pretty.

This vine was hanging down and Tanner made it into a swing. It was perfect!

Tanner found this HUGE maple leaf.
Luckily, Colby was content in the backpack the whole time. We really had a great time.
