Christmas in Lake Jackson

Monday, December 8, 2014

At the beginning of the month, we went to Lake Jackson to celebrate Christmas with the McDougal side of the family. We always have such a great time when we are down there.  This was the first time in a long time that the whole family was together, because Clinton's brother Cody had flown in on leave from the Navy.  We had a visit from Santa Clause that Saturday morning. He brought everyone's stockings, and it was really funny to see how each kid reacted to him. Colby and Christian weren't to sure about him, but everyone else did pretty good.  This year, Cameron really loves Santa so it was fun to watch him interact.  Tanner also really likes Santa, although she is now onto the fact that the real Santa can't be everywhere at all times so he sends his helpers to dress up as him and ask kids what they want.

Cindy uses this vest to help break up the gunk that is in her lungs.  It inflates and it shakes your body violently.  The kids love it, and they always want to play with it when we are there.  They like to say "uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu" and listen to how it makes their voices change.  Clinton and I actually tried it this visit, for the first time, and both of us were not crazy about it at all.

The kids had fun wrestling.  They did this for a lot of the time that we were together.

 Cameron's best friend.

I wish I remembered what Tanner was talking to him about.  She was very reserved, and I know she told him that she didn't want to ask for anything and that she would rather be surprised on Christmas morning.

Like I said, Colby was not a fan.

This is where Colby stayed most of the time that Santa was there. He was safe with Daddy =).

This was our best attempt at a picture with everyone.

Cameron was completely tuckered out after all of the Christmas festivities.  He fell asleep on the living room floor holding Spiderman, wearing a Spiderman snuggie, and sleeping under a Spiderman blanket =). That pretty much sums him up!
