After we went to Lost Maples, we came back to the cabin and grilled burgers and roasted marshmallows. The kids had so much fun. Tanner liked melting the marshmallows off of the hangers and into the fire, and Cameron just liked eating the marshmallows without roasting them.

The next day, we walked down to the river behind our cabin. We didn't
realize the first day that the river access was so close to where we
were. It was a lot of fun to climb out onto the rocks on the water.
After spending a little time behind our cabin at the river, we packed up all of our stuff and headed over to Garner State Park, which was about 8 miles from where we were staying. The kids enjoyed skipping rocks and putting their feet into the water, even though it was pretty cold.
