Christmas Day

Christmas day, this year, was so much fun. The kids were so excited to see what Santa had brought them, and they were all old enough this year to enjoy opening presents and playing with everything inside the packages.  Tanner was the most excited of all, and she woke up around 2:00am and didn't really want to sleep after that.  We let the kids sleep in our bed on Christmas so that nobody has to walk through the living room in the morning to come and get us.  Every so often, from about 2:00am on, Tanner would roll over and say "can we get up and see if Santa came?".  Needless to say, we didn't feel very rested when we got up for good that morning.  It was worth it, though, to see the excitement on her face and to know that she could not wait to see what Santa had brought.

This picture is totally Colby. The boy is always playing a sport. Always.

Cameron got his first bike this year, and riding it has been his favorite thing to do ever since.

LOL

Tanner got a big fluffy bean bag to cuddle with, since Santa's elves couldn't make a 4ft stuffed "cheeda". They were to scared of such a large animal that they couldn't finish making it out of fear (according to a note that Santa left for Tanner on the bean bag).  He thought that she would like something else that was large and furry to cuddle with instead.  He was right =).

Monkey see, monkey do.

Colby got a Dusty Cropphopper ride on toy and it has been the main thing that the kids have fought over.

Cameron in his new pirate costume. Arg!

This is Clinton drinking his coffee and trying not to care about the amount of damage control that would need to be done once all of the presents were opened =).

Gammie and Paw Paw got the kids this Spiderman tent and they all love playing in it.

Santa was really good to me this year.  He got me several things that I wanted, and I most of them I hadn't even told him about.  Thank you, Santa! ;)  This crock pot was at the top of my list.  I saw it in the store one day and thought that it was the prettiest crock pot I had ever seen.  I love it, and have already enjoyed using it.

She looks like such a big kid, listening to songs on her ipod with her headphones.

This kid would never wear clothes if he had anything to say about it.  I thought this was a funny picture.  Hopefully it doesn't offend anyone, but I wanted to document our real life and this is pretty much a daily occurrence.

The Christmas bomb that went off in our living room.....

After the kids played with their toys for a little while, we loaded up bikes and skates and headed to our favorite park in San Antonio to play.  We had the whole park to ourselves, and we really enjoyed letting the kids run around and do whatever they felt like doing.  Afterward, we picked up fajitas and brought them to the hospital for my mom, dad, and cousin.  They had just made it to the hospital in San Antonio after my aunt was transported from Kerrville, so they had had a long day and spent all of Christmas in a hospital.  We figured that they might want some good food.  It was good to see my aunt, and to give her a kiss on Christmas.
